Overview

Alaska childcare licensing is administered by the Child Care Program Office (CCPO) within the Department of Health. All facilities providing care for 13 or more hours per week for 5 or more children from more than one family must be licensed. Alaska has unique requirements given its geographic diversity, and specific rules apply to remote and village-based programs.
